I Give Up!

My Blog

Over 5 years, 104 countries, thousands of visitors, we have enjoyed it all. But there comes a time when certain things have to be changed, the new ways have to be brought in and here I have decided to do the same. There are days when I feel that I have failed to innovate and got stuck with the old ways. So, I want to give up the old ways and take sometime off to put together the content that you guys would love to read.

For sometime there will be no new posts uploaded(don’t know how long!) but as and when it will be back.. be sure, it will be a different content.

I leave you with a quote form Steve Jobs – Details matter, it’s worth waiting to get it right”.

Will miss you….

Love,

Paul

5 things I learnt doing Zip Line

Inspiration, Motivation, My Blog

It’s an experience to try and the trill your experience can never be described in words. How similar is it to our daily life and what we can learn from this enthralling experience.

1. It’s faster than you expect: While on the wire, even before you realise you are on the other side. Believe it or not the same applies to our life. It moves fast and if you don’t move with it, you’ll be left behind.

2. Just let go and enjoy it: Sometimes we hold on to our life so dearly that we never get to enjoy the moments we need to enjoy. Sometimes it’s good to let go and enjoy the experience.

3. Feel the moment: If you don’t feel those few seconds when your on the line. You will never get those moments again. If you don’t feel your present moments, you’ll never have them again.

4. You get to see the world from top: We get so busy with life around us that we hardly get time to look at the world from a different perspective. Sometimes it’s nice to be on “top of the world” and admire the beauty, even if its just for few seconds.

5. You need to trust the ropes: Just the way we need to trust the ropes while we are up there. Like wise we need to trust the process when we are doing something different.

May you enjoy your life and live every moment, It’s good to start somewhere, then why not now!

It’s 2019, and we spend more time than ever on our smartphones, computers, and basically any kind of gadget that connects us to the web. We’re always posting, reading, commenting, sending Tweets, taking pictures and videos, checking e-mails, messages, and notifications on half a dozen social networks. We go on Tumblr for a few minutes […]

My Blog

Little bit of everything!

Inspiration, My Blog, women
– What am I good at?
– Quite a few things, actually.
– What I am best at?
– Well, nothing in particular.
The above two questions would bother me quite so often – especially when I see all these beautifully talented people around me. And anytime I would ponder over these two questions, I would get those exact answers everytime.
Sometimes it makes me sad, but then more so than often I don’t actually mind being just another average human being who’s good at quite a few things.
I have been classified into a lot of different categories by people but when in reality I never solely fit into any category because. . Well, I am what I like to describe as, ‘sugar and spice and everything nice!’
Sugar and spice don’t exactly go together but then again, they do!! Don’t they??

I am tough and sensitive. I am deep and light-hearted. I am serious and funny. I am loud and quite. I am confident and humble. I got a smart mouth and a cheap sense of humour. I am specific and easy-going.

I am a contradiction. I am a little bit of everything.
And I am only getting started!

How 5 days of limited internet access made me find myself.

Inspiration, Motivation, My Blog

This summer vacation I was in an offgrid hilly area of Munnar in Kerala. Where internet and phone network was not always available.. First I was restless without it and then after sometime it became depressing… I was so used to the constant messages and notifications, that it felt very abnormal not to get all of that.. But gradually I began to watch and listen more to the surrounding noises and a deep sense of tranquility engulfed me. I felt happier, calmer and much more creative…Sometimes just going off grid or at list with limited internet access and network can help you find yourself….
I have done it and looking forward to try it again. You will never know how good it feels if you never try. I do not promise instant bliss, especially if you are an internet addict, but after sometime you will feel better and happier. So, which off grid location are you planning of go?

You are a LION and you are meant to ROAR!

Inspiration, Motivation, My Blog

You are not born for the ordinary. You are born to go beyond. Beyond boundaries, beyond your own restrictions, beyond your own comfort. You are meant to break the shackles of your fear. You are meant to be great. Coz you can. At times you may feel you are nothing, that you can do nothing, I do feel that too. There is this strange fear of failure, of being embarrassed, of being ashamed, of regret and failure.

You will struggle, we all do, its fine, its ok, its part of a long journey. That fear will be there, it will grow, it will grow on you even more, that fear of not being able to achieve everything, that life will not be enough to achieve everything you ever want. But that’s ok, life is a learning journey, you will get somethings, some will be a struggle, but at the end wouldn’t it all be worth living. “Life happens” and yours will happen too.

You will make it to the top, you will some day, some day soon. Keep hoping, keep working, keep struggling, coz that struggle is life.. that struggle is “Life Happening”. Fight for it, make it a struggle worth fighting, coz you are a Lion and you are meant to ROAR!

DO NOT MESS IT UP LIKE THEY DID WITH US.

education, Inspiration

Etymologically, the word school is derived from a Greek word ‘skholē’ meaning ‘leisure’.
Leisure?? School??
They don’t seem to align now, do they?

When I woke up this morning I didn’t set out to come up with this write up, but as I started working on a school report – I couldn’t help but find it sarcastically humorous that the place which is failing to uplift the essence, that is a child, actually has a connection to ‘use of free time for enjoyment’?

Sure, school is a requirement as of for hundreds of reasons. I am sure, many will come up with reason(s), as to why school is needed. But is it not becoming a nuisance for quite sometime now?
Since when did business and torment became synonymous with knowledge?
Uncountable number of assignments, examinations, projects. How can we even forget the stress on marks obtained and the enormity of the fees levied by the schools.
Even worse is the state of the teachers going through the training phase – trust me when I say this because I am a teacher in-training myself.

Are they competent enough to become teachers? What it takes to teach, to be amongst children and what damage a bad teacher can do to a child – no one keeps a tab on it.
“There are no bad students, Only incompetent teachers”
Is this just a rant? No. It’s not. It’s a realisation on my part.
We can’t change the curriculum nor can we wage a war on the government. Hell, we can’t even challenge a higher authority – but all y’all teachers and would be teachers, the one thing you can do is TRY.
Try and change the way you teach and the way you perceive the art of education. Try to understand the psychology of the children and guide them accordingly. Make an alliance amongst yourselves. Make sure a child learns atleast one new thing from you everyday.
Try and not create another generation of incompetent literates.

Sure, it’s not what you set out to do initially, but you are here now – training yourselves to train the minds loaded with untouched untapped potential – DO NOT MESS IT UP LIKE THEY DID WITH US.
You got a voice – USE IT! The right way in the right place.
INSPIRE. LOVE. CREATE A LEAGACY – YOUR LEGACY.
BE THE TEACHER YOU ALWAYS WANTED WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD.

5 ways to get more SMILE while spending less.

My Blog

Whatever we do, we do to get a smile on our face or someone else’s face. We most often do that by giving ‘something’ and that ‘something’ sometimes costs a lot of money.

By no means I am saying that gifting should be stopped. You can continue doing it.. It’s a good thing sometimes to give someone an expensive gift…. Here’s the catch- most often if not always giving a costly gift to someone can bring a smile on that person, but you loose your smile because your bank balance has gone down…😉

So, here are ways to bring SMILE while spending less, Smile for you and to the other person, and not to forget there is a bonus for this smile and that bonus is INNER HAPPINESS.

1. Help a Pet:

There are many pets who need your attention and let me tell you the joy you get feeding a hungry dog, cat etc or even rescuing them is beyond measure… The joy can only be experienced. Try it today.

2. Old age home or orphanage:

Go and spend few minutes with them. They not always require your money. If you can give them-it’s great, but if you can’t- that’s fine. They need your Presence. Try playing a game with them or just give your listening ear..

3. Send a postcard to your old friend:

When someone receives a message on a postcard he or she is on a different level of happiness compare to a whatsapp messages. Try it!

4. Listen:

Listen to the people closet to you. Most often people don’t need advices, they just want someone to listen to them.. Few hours after you have listened to them, person has a SMILE because he/she felt listened to and you have a SMILE because you feel you have done something which is rare in todays world.

5. Shut up!

Sometimes, shutting up our mouth gives more SMILE in the long run to both parties(giver and receiver) than you can imagine. Know the right time to speak.

Practising these gestures mentioned above don’t require heavy spending but guarantees SMILE. Let’s go and spread some SMILE.

So you have plan – what next?

My Blog

My Motivation

Hi guys,

Today I would like to talk about the way, how we can work on goals, when we have a plan. It seems simple, doesn’t it? Just make plan and follow it. But in that case, why so many people who prepare plans fail?

The answer is relatively easy: they don’t have good tactics to work with the plan. Very often (I used to be one of these people too), they don’t really know what they are supposed to do. Plan, of course is a very important part, but all work is on our side. We can’t forget, that writing something on the piece of paper or in any electronic form will not make it just happen.

And here are a lot of possibilities to attempt your plan. You might just leave it and hoe for better tomorrow, or you can actually keep progressing. But even if you decide…

‘Lazy’ ways to be successful.

My Blog

Some people have been lazy for very a long time. Now when the reality has come knocking at their door, they realise that being successful requires hard work and certain amount of active lifestyle. This can be an arduous task of shifting the lifestyle from being perpetually lazy to active- hardworking person.

Hold on!

Changing habits requires time and dedication. Sometimes we want change to happen overnight and that’s where we go wrong. E.g.: if a person is use to waking up at 8 in the morning, suddenly when someone tells him/her to wake up at 4 in the morning it’s going to be a difficult task. Here are some habits you can cultivate, which will help you become successful while you gently come out of your lazzy habits…

1. Make small changes:

If you want to wake up early, change by setting your alarm 5 mins early everyday, than your normal waking time. Do this until you reach your desired goal. E.g.: if you are use to waking up at 6:00 everyday, set your alarm at 5:55 from tomorrow and deduct 5 mins every day.

2. Get someone to push you:

You be accountable for your actions, but also have someone to give you a push if you are lagging behind from creating successful lifestyle.

3. Rabbit and the tortoise:

You may have heard the story of rabbit and the tortoise, how successfully the tortoise completed the race first, even though rabbit was much faster than the tortoise.

Don’t stop…. make small small changes possible..

Lazy -ness is just a way of life, you can replace it any time.. these slow or ‘lazy’ methods will help you become successful.

How to use February to Desire?

My Blog

We have many desires and this is the month we can achieve it. Why do I say this month? You may have had desires to do certain things in the month of January and have not finished doing it. Whatever the reason may be. February is a time when your moral is still high and you know you have still another 11 months to go before the year ends. If you let pass this month without doing much of the things which you desire or atlist take minor actions on those desires than the coming month and the months after it may be groggy and you may procrastinate those desires for the following year.

So here are main areas to focus on.

[ ] Health

[ ] Wealth

[ ] Relationship

[ ] Goal

Write down, don’t have it only thinking .. write down 2 things under each area (health, wealth, relationship, goal) that you desire this month.

Don’t wait – just do it. It may just take you 5 mins, but it will make the remaining hours worth living.

Use INSPIRATION to make someone fall in Love with you.

My Blog

Style is necessary, great grooming is necessary and everything you thing about how to make someone fall in love with you may be necessary too. But if you want long lasting love and play those strings of someone’s heart than INSPIRE him/her.

Yes, we all want to feel love and here’s how to make someone fall in love with you. Inspire her/him about things which are 80% of her/his interest and 20% of something new.- e.g: if she likes to dance, do things which will inspire her to dance more and at the same time introduce her to something new too. If he likes to build his body and be in shape by going to the gym, then inspire him to do that, at the same time introduce him to do something different too.

Saying, I love you a millions times makes no difference, if you don’t have an action followed by it. This action is an action of INSPIRATION. Try inspiring and see the magic.

Sometimes ideas won’t come to you, you have to go to them….

Inspiration, My Blog

Many times we wait for an inspiration to strike us- to write, learn an instrument or do whatever you deep down always wanted to do.

Sometimes it is the action which comes before inspiration.. You just have to stick with that musical instrument or sit with those blank pages and start writing…

It’s the idea muscle we need to develop and this will only happen when we decide to act and not wait for the inspiration.

So let’s take the action and wait for the inspiration to strike latter.

Do you have a minute for someone special?

My Blog

We are moving fast… Very fast. Our days turn into weeks, weeks to months and months to years and we feel that we are sometimes stuck at a particular point and are not able to move ahead.. Hey! You are not alone, it happens to all.

I am not going to make this post long, beacause once you finished reading this, I want you to go to the nearby window and take 5 deep breaths- feel the moment don’t think anything…. Just feel the moment…

The Special one is you!

I like what Nick Wooster once said-

Bloggers and stores and publications and brands and houses all need to sort of take a deep breath and relax because no one is going away. The brands aren’t going away. The designers, bloggers, publications aren’t going away.

No more groggy mondays if you do this..

My Blog, Work

Ya, we think going back to work on Monday is difficult and after spending a relax sunday it’s natural to feel that way.

Tell me one thing you like doing and you won’t mind doing it again and again… Why is that- because you enjoy doing it and secondly you look forward to it.

We humans need something to look forward to and if we don’t get it we feel groggy or uncommitted etc etc…

If you don’t have anything to look forward to in your job-

1. Consider changing it.

2. Or Find something to look forward to in that job.

Once we find something to look forward to, we will enjoy what we do and we will no longer have to drag our feet on Monday.

Oh, you screwed-up, no problem… Here’s why…..

My Blog

It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.

.

.

If you have never screwed-up at something at some point in life, then this post is not for you.. For the rest of the normal earthly people, let’s take this together..

May be you had made a resolution in the begining of the new year and failed to keep it, may be you screwed- up at work or relationship or whatever 1000 ways we humans are capable of screwing up.. You know, what – you have hope and it’s definetly not the end of the world and if you are reading this, I presume you are not dead…

Let’s try this- Bring to your mind a person you admire or adore a lot. (don’t read this further before bringing a person to your mind). You know what – this person who you admire a lot must have also screwed- up at something at somepoint in his or her life. So, it’s ok, he or she must have done something good enough after screwing -up, that today you admire that person…

Remember we have another day and let’s make that count..
