5 things I learnt doing Zip Line

Inspiration, Motivation, My Blog

It’s an experience to try and the trill your experience can never be described in words. How similar is it to our daily life and what we can learn from this enthralling experience.

1. It’s faster than you expect: While on the wire, even before you realise you are on the other side. Believe it or not the same applies to our life. It moves fast and if you don’t move with it, you’ll be left behind.

2. Just let go and enjoy it: Sometimes we hold on to our life so dearly that we never get to enjoy the moments we need to enjoy. Sometimes it’s good to let go and enjoy the experience.

3. Feel the moment: If you don’t feel those few seconds when your on the line. You will never get those moments again. If you don’t feel your present moments, you’ll never have them again.

4. You get to see the world from top: We get so busy with life around us that we hardly get time to look at the world from a different perspective. Sometimes it’s nice to be on “top of the world” and admire the beauty, even if its just for few seconds.

5. You need to trust the ropes: Just the way we need to trust the ropes while we are up there. Like wise we need to trust the process when we are doing something different.

May you enjoy your life and live every moment, It’s good to start somewhere, then why not now!

You are a LION and you are meant to ROAR!

Inspiration, Motivation, My Blog

You are not born for the ordinary. You are born to go beyond. Beyond boundaries, beyond your own restrictions, beyond your own comfort. You are meant to break the shackles of your fear.You are meant to be great. Coz you can. At times you may feel you are nothing, that you can do nothing, I do feel that too. There is this strange fear of failure, of being embarrassed, of being ashamed, of regret and failure.

You will struggle, we all do, its fine, its ok, its part of a long journey. That fear will be there, it will grow, it will grow on you even more, that fear of not being able to achieve everything, that life will not be enough to achieve everything you ever want. But that’s ok, life is a learning journey, you will get somethings, some will be a struggle, but at the end wouldn’t it all be worth living. “Life happens” and yours will happen too.

You will make it to the top, you will some day, some day soon. Keep hoping, keep working, keep struggling, coz that struggle is life.. that struggle is “Life Happening”. Fight for it, make it a struggle worth fighting, coz you are a Lion and you are meant to ROAR!

5 Things you did not know about 2019.

My Blog

While some of us are making our New Years resolutions – we have entered into the New Year. In this post I am going to tell you about 5 things you did not know about 2019.

1. If you don’t take action, this year will not be any different.

You may have decided to do certain things, achieve certain results and live your dream life. This won’t be possible if you don’t take any action on those decisions. I like the Nike tag line – just do it. So let’s take some concrete actions on our desires to achieve higher results.

2. No one is going to help you more than you can help yourself.

We need people around us, no doubt about it. But if we only depend on people to help us reach our destination, we will never reach there. People have their own sh*t to deal with. So, you do all you can to achieve your goals and depend less on others doing it for you.

3. Health is wealth.

Last year I have seen too many young people dying due to health problems. There is no use of trying and getting millions, if your not there to enjoy it. This year let’s keep the balance between work and time to look after our body.

4. You don’t read, you don’t lead.

So many things are happening in our world today, that keeping a pace with what’s happening around us becomes very important. Let’s make a commitment to read more this year, because I believe reading and leading is directly associated with each other.

5. You are awesome.

I believe you are beautiful, handsome, hot, sexy, intelligent, successful and whatever you wish to be. Deep down I know you want to be that. Believe you are beautiful or handsome or successful and I am sure confidence, hardwork and belief in yourself will take you just where you want to be.

May be all of these 5 things were just a reminder to start this year with right mindset and positive attitude..

Have a wonderful year 2019.😀

Bigger the crisis, bigger the opportunities…

My Blog

The words of Napoleon Hill are ringing in my ears.

Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit”.

If you are not experiencing crisis or have never experienced crisis in your life than this post is not meant for you. But for those who are or have experienced crisis in your life, let’s make this reading journey together.

Hey, by no means I wanna say that I am an expert at crisis handling, I am in crisis most of the time but there are things that have helped me to come out of crisis and that is exactly what I am gonna share, and may be you can use some of these methods…

One of my good friend committed suicide some time back and no one even knew he was going through crisis or problems, because he never expressed it or showed any signs of it. May be you are going through some crisis in your life or may be someone who you know may be going through one, but never shows it. This post may be just something that you may need or someone else may need. So, don’t forget to share it….

Do you remember when you were a child small things such as electricity going out before your favourite TV show would be so disheartening that we would feel our whole life had collapsed. Time when your best friend did not give you the chocolate and gave it to someone else we would be so hurt that – thoughts like why;what; how would emerge in our head and would not talk to them for days, just because of a chocolate. Today when we have grown up a little we look back and find all those small small tensions = something to laugh at… like wise I feel Half the crisis or tensions go away when we talk to someone with a little bit of more experience in our life than we have, so that brings me to my first point..

1.Find a mentor: Here the person should have seen a little more life than you have, should be professional at mentoring and someone who you can trust and of course who has to be a good listener, no body likes advices, people like people who can be their guide and not advisers.

2.Books: Books(self help) according to me are a great source of support. So always have a good self help book by your side.

3.Don’t tell your problems to everyone: Truth is nobody cares about your complaining and problems. They are rapped in their own world, all don’t really care, they may feel sorry for you. Tell me, what are you gonna do with their feeling sorry?

4.Write down 2 things : Everyday write down 2 ways in which your life can be better. Believe me I tried this for 30 days few years back and let me tell you, it worked and worked in ways I couldn’t fathom. I can’t tell you the science behind it..but it works.. try it..

5.You are in that situation for a reason: You can allow your situation to make you or break you. There is a reason for it all.. wait, it will unfold itself.

I will leave you with few lines…

May be...

If Steve jobs had got stuck in the crisis after he was fired from the company he started, May be, we wouldn’t have PIXAR animation studio.

If J.K.Rowling got stuck in the back of her car thinking of all the problems in her life and never starting to write something, may be, we wouldn’t have HARRY POTTER.

I can go on and on with may be.. but what’s more important is

If ……………………(your name) prevailed through my crisis then may be the world will be able to witness……………….

Remember, Sometimes making opportunities for yourself is better than waiting for one….

Have you invested in yourself? by, Paul Fernandes

“The most important investment you can make is in yourself.” -Warren Buffett

                Have you invested in yourself? When I ask you this question I don’t necessarily mean investing money or buying some material things. I am sure we have done a lot of that. Today when I ask you a question, have you invested in yourself? I want to ask you have you given time to yourself. Time Alone for yourself, time to go and eat something that you like, time to take a walk and feel the breeze on your face.  Here I want to emphasize on the word ALONE. It’s easy to drown our thoughts when we are with others. It’s comfortable to choose an easy way out, but taking time out and being alone requires courage and conviction. Tony Robbins in one of his interview with Oprah Winfrey made a statement that hit me profoundly he said and I quote “If you do not have 10 minutes for yourself, you don’t have life.”

               When I said take time out, I don’t mean to say go for a long trip, spend lots of money or sit in an erect position in the Himalayas. I ask you to take 10 to 20 minutes each day all for yourself, block out everything else. When it’s possible take a weekend off and    rejuvenate yourself. I believe that only when we fill ourselves with goodness and peace we can give peace and goodness to others.

 So make a commitment to make time for yourself.

Love and Best wishes,

Onto the Next Horizon. by: Matti War. New Delhi, India.

Onto the Next Horizon

Yesterday was the last day of my exams and it was a relief. Four days of back to back papers and term papers makes every exam I’ve appeared for so far, look like a walk in the park. Add to that an ill-timed attack of the cold and cough and I was effectively hindered. Not a good semester for me, it seemed. The last paper was quite tricky. If there was one thing I’d learnt ever since arriving at the university I’m in now, it’s that one should never think that they know enough about anything. I still find that I am quite ignorant about the world around me, where everything is cutthroat. And for someone who came from a different world, it was a bit of a nasty shock.

Today, my friend and I decided to go for a morning walk to clear our heads after nights of feverish reading and preparations. I found it a spooky experience, as we walked along the pathways I thought I knew like the back of my hand. Throughout my stay, I had only seen the place flooded with sunlight, soaked in rain or coloured with dusk; never have I seen it shrouded in stillness so eerie and peaceful at the same time. The paths which branched out in different directions receded into the inky shadows and the darkness seemed capable of swallowing anything that walked into it. I am ashamed to say that though I have never been one who endorses in beliefs of ghosts, spirits and whatever that’s associated with a life beyond the grave, that moment made me hyper-aware of my surroundings. The slight crackling of a leaf getting stepped on, the whoosh of a breeze teasing the foliage, distant footsteps that reverberated in the ground; every single sound or movement made me glance over my shoulder one too many times. Even my friend’s assurances that there was nothing to be afraid so did little to soothe my paranoia. However, the sky started to lighten up, the midnight blue softened to lighter shades as we walked together in companionable silence. When we reached the hostel, we agreed to stay for the sunrise as well. No use going back to sleep when in an hour’s time, we’d be getting breakfast.

The horizon blushed orange when we reached the rooftop. Breathtakingly beautiful and calming! And I realized that it was the perfect way to begin the ending of the 2014 chapter of our lives. I have been struggling with feelings of insecurity and uncertainty for quite some time and it showed in my inability to work on anything I had planned to accomplish. But that simple moment made me realize that it doesn’t matter at all. That’s not how one should live. Not by regretting, or looking back with hopes that we will somehow end up in some place we wanted to be but couldn’t. Not by thinking that it’s impossible to change what had transpired so far and resigning ourselves to simply living. By not getting discouraged when we’re at the lowest point of our lives but knowing that it always gets better as we go.

A year ago, I was reluctant to open myself to new experiences and I was craving for the familiar faces, sights and smells. Now, I realize that my life is going to go through its cycle of change in a few months’ time. Everything is transient yet we are hardly aware of it. I have friends who are going through the exact same motions I went through some time ago. I know that it’ll get better for all of them, the same way it got better for me. For me, the place I had felt out-of-place initially is now a second home to me. Leaving it would mean leaving all the kind people I have encountered but they will remain. In their own small way, they have left their impressions on me, postcards that I treasure in my heart.

And so, as I watched the horizon emit a stronger glow, I felt a secure sense of security in life that I know is going to help me in the days to come. Yes, there’ll be moments of darkness where I’ll have to find my way, stumbling in the dark. But there will be good times as well. An occasional helping hand, a small act of kindness from some stranger that I will encounter in future, as I keep moving on. And in time, it will be me who is going to be that kind stranger to some other lost soul. We keep taking and giving as we move on and we take each and every precious moments of happiness and keep them close to our hearts for inspiration.

And that’s the purpose of a journey, isn’t it?

Once upon a time. By: Mebadaiaka M Kurkalang.

Edited in Lumia Selfie  Mebadaiaka M Kurkalang.

Once upon a time, she wrote for her school magazine, as it was her last year over there, about her beloved one_of_a_kind friends who had stood with her all the way during her schooling years. She had attained quite an appreciation for her piece from them(friends) and as well as other people who thought she had the knack for writing. Because of these praises and encouragement she had gained, she thought of attempting a pursue in writing. She would come up with a number of stories which she thought would turn out into novels or sentences that rhymed into poems or lyrics for a song. But to her dismay, none seemed to work out. Either the contents don’t make sense or she loses  track.
She wondered as to why didn’t it work out the way she thought it would. Not yet disheartened, she wondered and pondered until one day she realized something – Passion.“Passion” said she “was what I had when I wrote of my friends”. She was passionate of what and whom she had written and it turned out to be a good reminder. And then she waited for something or someone who she would be passionate about to cross her mind if ever she should produce something, in this case, out of a pen.
As days went by, along the awaited passion, she experienced others experiencing moments that made her want to reflect upon so as to pen these down. Another realization took a shot at her-Inspiration. If writing is something that she wants to do, besides other activities on her daily life, then inspiration is also what she needs.
This gradually enlightened her small confused mind, that talent is what makes a person know what to do in whatever he does, but if passion and inspiration join the cruise, everything is at its best.

“Time” says your past is gone. by Paul Fernandes

My Blog

 “Time”  says your past is gone.

If “Time” was in the form of a person

And you see it passing by you

Some time gently and some time quick

And you say to it carry on.

One day you fall in love with this “Time”

And like all other things, it’s hard to leg go

Something that you love, very much.

It stays with you, possesses you and never let’s you go

You argue with it, just like all lovers do

And one day , when you sit wiping your tears of joy or pain

“Time” is always there with you.

This person of “Time” says to us, your past is gone

And you don’t know about the future

All you have is the present

Which you wouldn’t like it to be gone.

It comes and it goes

What you do with it in the present is all

that matters to each one of us.

“Eternal Heroes”. by :Andrew Thabah. Shillong,India.

ETERNAL HEROES

In the stillness of silence, I pondered

What are the great lives made of?

Doth they possess extraordinary strength-

Innate, acquired or divine intervention?

Luther, Gandhi and Teresa we know,

Ye noble life for all to see;

Immortalized deeds in the sands of time,

Cemented eternally in the earth’s folklore.

The narrow path of struggled and pain;

They have travelled, they have been through;

Easing the pangs of the grief stricken

The poor, the needy, the downtrodden,

The sick, the heartless and the soul-less world.

A solace of sort for the unfortunate,

A smile they bring unto the brows;

The face that bore the scars of darkness;

The burning desire, the iron-willed,

The great substance of strong mettle;

Selflessly giving, selflessly serving

to end the misery of humanity.

Wondering how such lives are made of,

Of the ordinary and the Halo nature,

Touch the altitude of the endless sky

Their greatness stretch beyond horizon

The answer lies not in the rich and mighty-

But living and striving a life

Of great conviction and true humility

Of valor and of character

The greatest reward for all to see;

The ‘crown of greatness on thy forehead’

Forever there shall it be.
