Sometimes ideas won’t come to you, you have to go to them….

Many times we wait for an inspiration to strike us- to write, learn an instrument or do whatever you deep down always wanted to do.

Sometimes it is the action which comes before inspiration.. You just have to stick with that musical instrument or sit with those blank pages and start writing…

It’s the idea muscle we need to develop and this will only happen when we decide to act and not wait for the inspiration.

So let’s take the action and wait for the inspiration to strike latter.

Do you have a minute for someone special?

We are moving fast… Very fast. Our days turn into weeks, weeks to months and months to years and we feel that we are sometimes stuck at a particular point and are not able to move ahead.. Hey! You are not alone, it happens to all.

I am not going to make this post long, beacause once you finished reading this, I want you to go to the nearby window and take 5 deep breaths- feel the moment don’t think anything…. Just feel the moment…

The Special one is you!

I like what Nick Wooster once said-

Bloggers and stores and publications and brands and houses all need to sort of take a deep breath and relax because no one is going away. The brands aren’t going away. The designers, bloggers, publications aren’t going away.

Oh, you screwed-up, no problem… Here’s why…..

My Blog

It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.

If you have never screwed-up at something at some point in life, then this post is not for you.. For the rest of the normal earthly people, let’s take this together..

May be you had made a resolution in the begining of the new year and failed to keep it, may be you screwed- up at work or relationship or whatever 1000 ways we humans are capable of screwing up.. You know, what – you have hope and it’s definetly not the end of the world and if you are reading this, I presume you are not dead…

Let’s try this- Bring to your mind a person you admire or adore a lot. (don’t read this further before bringing a person to your mind). You know what – this person who you admire a lot must have also screwed- up at something at somepoint in his or her life. So, it’s ok, he or she must have done something good enough after screwing -up, that today you admire that person…

Remember we have another day and let’s make that count..

Bigger the crisis, bigger the opportunities…

My Blog

The words of Napoleon Hill are ringing in my ears.

Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit”.

If you are not experiencing crisis or have never experienced crisis in your life than this post is not meant for you. But for those who are or have experienced crisis in your life, let’s make this reading journey together.

Hey, by no means I wanna say that I am an expert at crisis handling, I am in crisis most of the time but there are things that have helped me to come out of crisis and that is exactly what I am gonna share, and may be you can use some of these methods…

One of my good friend committed suicide some time back and no one even knew he was going through crisis or problems, because he never expressed it or showed any signs of it. May be you are going through some crisis in your life or may be someone who you know may be going through one, but never shows it. This post may be just something that you may need or someone else may need. So, don’t forget to share it….

Do you remember when you were a child small things such as electricity going out before your favourite TV show would be so disheartening that we would feel our whole life had collapsed. Time when your best friend did not give you the chocolate and gave it to someone else we would be so hurt that – thoughts like why;what; how would emerge in our head and would not talk to them for days, just because of a chocolate. Today when we have grown up a little we look back and find all those small small tensions = something to laugh at… like wise I feel Half the crisis or tensions go away when we talk to someone with a little bit of more experience in our life than we have, so that brings me to my first point..

1.Find a mentor: Here the person should have seen a little more life than you have, should be professional at mentoring and someone who you can trust and of course who has to be a good listener, no body likes advices, people like people who can be their guide and not advisers.

2.Books: Books(self help) according to me are a great source of support. So always have a good self help book by your side.

3.Don’t tell your problems to everyone: Truth is nobody cares about your complaining and problems. They are rapped in their own world, all don’t really care, they may feel sorry for you. Tell me, what are you gonna do with their feeling sorry?

4.Write down 2 things : Everyday write down 2 ways in which your life can be better. Believe me I tried this for 30 days few years back and let me tell you, it worked and worked in ways I couldn’t fathom. I can’t tell you the science behind it..but it works.. try it..

5.You are in that situation for a reason: You can allow your situation to make you or break you. There is a reason for it all.. wait, it will unfold itself.

I will leave you with few lines…

May be...

If Steve jobs had got stuck in the crisis after he was fired from the company he started, May be, we wouldn’t have PIXAR animation studio.

If J.K.Rowling got stuck in the back of her car thinking of all the problems in her life and never starting to write something, may be, we wouldn’t have HARRY POTTER.

I can go on and on with may be.. but what’s more important is

If ……………………(your name) prevailed through my crisis then may be the world will be able to witness……………….

Remember, Sometimes making opportunities for yourself is better than waiting for one….

Lost, but not forever.           – Kasturi, Assam.

Days tend to pass by so quickly, don’t they? It seems not long ago that I was a kid. A world so secure and safe from the harsh reality. A world of no worries, no confusion or fear of what is to come next. The only concern was to complete homework in time. Remember how a day off from school meant us being sad because we wouldn’t see our friends?

As kids, we always wished for our life to be fast-forwarded to when we would become adults. Little did we ever knew how hard it is being one! So many of us get lost on the way. Lose touch with ourselves. The innocence, the confidence, the happiness in little things.

Growing up I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in my life but I very much wanted to become a good person. But in the transition from being a kid to an adult – I lost myself somewhere. I became oblivious and that scared me every moment which eventually turned me into a pessimistic and depressed person.

When asked about a best friend I used to say,’I still am in search of the one with the same wavelength as mine.’

A month after joining college, I met someone. He seemed so happy and at peace. Little did I know then that our wavelengths would match so well that we would become the best of friends. I finally found someone with who I can confide in without any fear of being judged but at the same time would make me see my faults in the most humble way. He believes in me even when I doubt myself and always thrives me to be a better person. And though we fight – a lot! – it never lasts long.

It has been rightly said so that humans are social animals. We always need that one person who makes all the difference in the world and makes us  stronger, happier and full of life.

In the course of our friendship, I regained my lost self. He indeed was the one who inspired me to write.

I want to ask you people do you have people to stand by YOU when everything falls apart? We need to surround ourselves with positive people who bring the best out of us and who never stop us  from achieving our dreams.

Voice  of  Nature.

My nightmares are not filled with monsters from horror movies, but with reality that we’ll soon face if we do not put an end to this global environmental mess we are in. The consequences will be unfathomable. Do not ponder much on the natural disasters that are devastating certain parts of our planet or on the anthropogenic activities that are preparing Nature’s funeral. Unless we take a step, our thoughts will rot in our mind. Let the ethics of solidarity blossom in the conscience of every individual and let us conduct our everyday life in an Eco-friendly manner.

Let us not leave carbon footprints wherever we go. To err is human. But let our benevolent qualities be seen in the decisions we make. Let us be the voice of Mother Nature. Let us not be among the silent spectators and let us not tolerate those who are muffling the voice of Mother Nature. Let us act before it’s too late. I hope we are not too late already. Nature is calling for a hero.  She is at the limits of her carrying capacity. Her calls are directed towards everyone and not against anyone. Nature is kind and compassionate but her force can trigger the extinction of human race. So let us unite and be the voice of Nature before she unleashes her wrath on this incorrigible world.

Thank You.
